There’s a lot of what I’ve identified as probably broadleaf woodsorrel, pictured left, which even though it’s a weed I think is pretty & don’t mind having back there if I can keep it manageably short. But then there’s the guy on the right, which my sources tell me is commonly called bushkiller. 😐

I don’t just want to go scorched earth on the yard because there are plants back there I would like to encourage the growth of, exhibit A being these elephant ears which I growing very small and scattered and my best guess is it’s because they’re getting choked.

I have supported other people in my life through their decisions on if/when to put their pets to sleep but never actually been the one making the call myself. Have I mentioned this sucks. Why haven’t we figured out how to make pets immortal yet. What are scientists even doing with their time.

He’s at least 11 but I don’t know his exact age, he’s not eating well, I have spent $1500 at the vet to find out what he DOESN’T have and get some meds for him that seem to have helped short-term but not long-term.
