Freelance anime reviewer for ANN and local grunt of the Dub Talk Podcast. I am very opinionated. You have been warned

Look I know the top 12 or so will be entirely Sayains and Piccolo, but I will never judge (western) Dragonball fans more harshly than if Bulma doesn't at least crack top 20

I don't know if there is really such a thing as a perfect Thanksgiving movie, but for some reason this time of year always makes me think about Knives Out

A little shocked Crunchyroll still has Kyousogiga, but hey, it means that 2/3rds of Rie Matsumoto's filmography can be legally streamed

(I don't think we're ever gonna see her Precure movie available over here, but I'll settle for just getting Heartcatch streaming in general so I can check it out)

Looks like you can still find a few shows from Viz's Neon Alley days (shoutout to all 20 of you who know what that was) like Blood Lad, Gargantia, Accel World and Coppelion as well. Bit shocked Viz kept that last one but seem to have let the license for K lapse despite dubbing all of it

Annndd this got me curious to see how many of my personal deep cuts are still up for streaming.

Seems Black Cat, Solty Rei, Vandread and Casshern Sins are all somehow still on Crunchyroll. That last one feels like it would have been long gone if not for the Toonami run but I ain't complainin'

So does having an on screen smooch between a couple introduced less than a dozen chapters ago make Ichi the Witch yet another manga that's gotten to the point faster than Rent A Girlfriend?

Also I guess the final arc is kicking off for realsies

10/10 Color page for Witch Watch this week

104. Virgin Punk: Clockwork Girl

This felt like a 90's OVA that had somehow been dug up 30 years later with all of the ultraviolence and excessive dub swearing that comes with. Had a good time though I gotta say that the plot of this felt pretty surreal given all the Epstein headlines right now

If you think I am perhaps exaggerating a bit, sometimes I think back to this bit from an old ANN review of one of the Blu Ray releases of OG Ranma which really says it all

103. Pokemon Legends ZA

Don't think the gameplay look here is quite as strong as what we got in Legends Arceus, and I wish the main story was longer, but the new combat system is pretty fun and I thought the story did a good job of addressing some of XY's flaws so I'd still rate this favorably

102. Blue Proustian Moment

Even with how much more variety there is in Jump+ I suppose it was too much to expect a yuri manga to succeed on it. For what we got, I liked the dynamic we got between Kazuki and Akane, and how their different upbringings were tackled so I'd still call it a good read

101. Ping-Pong Peril

Sadly the masses were not ready for Ping-Pong Yu-Gi-Oh, but it did manage to bring its level of escalation all the way up to PING-PONG IN SPACE, so I'd say it went out on a high note

100. Ekiden Bros

Between it's artstyle and it's sport of choice, I'm not shocked this ine didn't land with JUMP readers. It was otherwise fairly harmless but I don't think it any real hooks going for it

More of an association but

This is one of those things we will likely never have anyway of knowing, but I choose to believe simply because it's the funniest option

Man it is going to be so fucking funny if Gege Akutami successfully uses JJK Modulo to nail the EXACT same political allegory that Iseyama kept struggling with in the last stretch of Attack on Titan but with less back and forth on fascism

Today's new JUMP series is The Hero and the Demon Lord Call it Quits which is basically exactly what it says on the tin. This one is easily the standout of the most recent batch of newbies. The concept is pretty cute and it has a good sense of humor so far. Hope it survives

I...question the accuracy to the culture of Tennessee but I'll just choose to believe this means the weebs claimed their birthright and took over the state
November 8, 2025 at 1:54 PM
So does this mean they put Tennessee in an isekai?

Annnnddd...mentioning Boruto suddenly got me thinking about this again

Shared this on Discord yesterday and I largely stand by it

(Didn't include direct sequels for obvious reasons)
