We associate Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle with the winter holiday season in this household, for one reason and another, so it seems very appropriate. (Got a text file around here w/Kumar's inspirational quote from the end -- "... this night is about the American Dream" -- which is evergreen.)

This doesn’t beat the smartly dressed ‘30s woman on my evening train out of London heading West who took from her bag a crystal glass, a small cutting board, lime & a pocket knife, a gin miniature & a bottle of tonic, and proceeded to top it off with ice from a thermos handled with silver tongs.

Realizing that we should maybe start taking photos of menus and uploading them to Google because we use those A LOT and they're not always up-to-date; we should pay it forward.

My suspicion is that websites are difficult/cost money to update, as opposed to Instagram/FB, which are "free" and easy to edit. So the site becomes a static ad for the business. I get that, but someone needs to find a way to solve the problem: websites that businesses can self-update w/ease.

it's the anniversary of BARRY LYNDON and yes, a very beautifully shot movie, I agree, but I have no desire to rewatch a film about a main character who is that much of a selfish asshole. (Although I'll watch WOLF OF WALL STREET, but that's an exception bc it's funny AF, among other reasons.)

Courtney was watching ROOFMAN the other night and one reason I could not engage with it was because I wanted it to be LOGAN LUCKY ... including the ethics/fate of main character/s. I'm less about "I didn't realize how selfish/reckless it is to do crimes" and more about "heist against The Man FTW"
