Approaching characterization that way meant that I was able to—even just fleetingly—use character-brain the same way I do now, even though I didn't understand how to do it reliably outside of that class environment until *3.5 years later* (when I got M. Chekhov training and went "OHHH! Hey, dude!").

I also got *inordinately* lucky that the intro-to-Stanislavsky course I took at my local community college (I was 16; summer classes were $1/credit for high schoolers) focused entirely on his later work on what he called the "Method of Physical Actions," which was devised alongside Michael Chekhov.

I decided on VO as a career path as a teenager—which then meant I needed to learn how to be a functional actor and a functional(ish) human.

…and I was privileged enough to be able to pursue a degree in Theatre and Computer Science that included a lot of methodologically-specific acting training.

(Fun fact: "Royal Duality" was the first thing I recorded for after initially assembling my booth! ...regrettably, that also means you can hear how its corners weren't fully treated at the time! 😅)

My spine might be fused T3-L3, but that hasn't stopped my L5 vertebra from being a menace in the rain (it not being fused also means it didn't get un-Quasimodo'd, so its typical "occasionally makes Human Rice Krispie noises" becomes "Sir, that is EXCESSIVE" as soon as it starts raining) 😂

The first picture I ever took of Elizabeth was with my character's arms outstretched and her in the middle of her photo-mode attack animation so that it looked like she was leaning in for a hug.
