This line of thinking is a political dead end. Don't worry about how you can't change the mind of a fascist sympathizer, they're in the minority. Worry about educating, organizing, and mobilizing the millions of people who already oppose fascism but don't know what to do about it.
And yet, the “they can take my gun from my cold, dead hand” crowd seems to be more and more accepting a govt that uses excessive force, detains citizens for no reason, and abuses authority.

This time of year really sucks for picking up commissions but even a single figure or squad commission would help me out massively, so dm me or send me and email for a quote.
I'm leaving this one as is now. There are parts I like about it, (skin, under lighting) but I think overall the experiment failed. I think next time I need to allow myself to work more with darker shadows than trying to replace them with a bright colour.

Because I'm taking a few weeks off from commissions, I'm making a point to spend some time working on longer, personal projects. This one from Ignis Art I'm using to try to do something less literal. I often get bogged down in realism so I'm trying to force myself out of that. #minipainting

I realized working on this that I was going too subtle with the secondary light source. So now I've enhanced the lighting with some airbrush glazing. Now I'll give it a gloss varnish and hit it with some oil washing to really enhance those shadows and provide that extra contrast it desperately needs

For #minipaintong I'm definitely the speedster with the focus feat. I painted up the base of my SBG force in a week. Of course, the mandatory downtime after the focus can extend a bit longer due to burnout.

I've been continuing to work on this merry fellow, trying to achieve a more subtle, and more complete version of two distinct lighting sources. One, a warm natural white and the other the glow of the dark crystal while still maintaining the real colours of everything on the model.

The second of my holiday pieces, something that's been lurking in my "to paint" pile for a long time. I've been reluctant to start because it has TONNES of detail so I'm not given much opportunity to flex with freehand. It is however gorgeous and I'm just going to have to play with lighting.

I have brought this little fella up to this point. I've been wanting to get NMM working with some heavy weathering. NMM remains the weakest part of my game so it's nice to have it looking good.

I've made a start on this little guy, and, because he's a personal project that I'm going to sink some time into, I'm practicing and trying things out. I've started with a blue NMM and I'll add environmental colours as I go.

I've closed commissions for a few weeks for a mental break so I've prepped some personal projects I've been holding off on. If I can bring myself to do it, I'll paint at least one up to competition standard for Arc Open.

Finally took the opportunity to paint a mini using a Zorn palette. It's an experiment I've wanted to do for a while. I think it's turned out well, I need to practice more highlighting though.

Working on a blood bowl team commission at the moment, Orcs! This client wants a bit of blood and grime on them but not too much so it's a fun balancing act. Cool thing about these minis is they're wearing sports clothes rather than regular armor.
