In fact, the indie theater near my house has better clarity on their showtimes for Wicked next weekend than the big chain theater does. Am I wrong here to be expecting this much? Or is it that I don’t frequent big national chain movie theaters enough anymore?

This is a brand new movie. A blockbuster hit that’s only been in theaters two weeks. I understand that movie theaters have taken a hit since Covid, but this opaque way of listing show times isn’t helping. And this is a big national theater.

So our choices are to either
a)wait until the day before and hope they have a dinner time-ish showing OR
b) pick a different theater in the area. But a lot of them don’t have their showings listed for next week yet either

…they only update their show times every two weeks on Wednesdays. So that doesn’t mean there won’t be ANY Wicked showings next week, but they also don’t know when or how many showings there will be yet. If at all.

In my mind, this is the 3rd movie in The Mummy series and Tomb of the Dragon Emperor doesn’t exist (I’ve also never seen it).
