This is a huge issue for First Nations women. The qld death review found that 100% of First Nations women murdered by their partners had previously been misidentified as perpetrators by police.

Even committing the most vile crimes does not justify infringing a person's human rights. Holding people to account should not mean violating their human rights. Welfare is a human right. And I say this as someone who works in the violence space.

I think it's pretty clear that a lot of things are more important to Labor than the Australian environment. It's pretty low on their priority list.

A Palestinian advocacy group sponsoring someone to speak at an event about a post colonial theorist makes perfect sense. This is kind of the key detail that Marr kept overlooking.

This is why we really need to push back on the government's attacks on transparency and fight for a NACC with teeth. It's also why robodebt and recent changes to the NDIS are important for all citizens to understand, not just those affected.

Oh no they really shouldn't be using AI for this. Ethical issues aside, most government agencies won't allow staff to use it and that also extends to the NGOs that they fund. Students need to be learning how to write up case notes and reports themselves. It's also kind of like shitty practice imo

There's enough to insult them about them without needing to mention their neurotype. Like people can just be shitty people exploiting a shitty system. Essentialising that to a person's neurotype, gender, race, etc is very uncool behaviour.

I've always interpreted enshitifiction as being the manifestation of late stage neoliberal capitalism. Now I'm really reconsidering my engagement with his work because this is such a shitty take.

I actually don't think tax reform would do all that much at this point. I would like to see caps on the number of properties that people can own.

These policies benefit property owners not FHBs. I'm using the FHG scheme but it's going to end up making me pay more money to a property owner because of how it's pushing prices up. I actually would have been better off just paying LMI.
