Incompetent or just sloppy? The SAVE Act as drafted is not going to work. There are only 5 states that issue REAL IDs (Enhanced Driver's Licenses) that show proof of citizenship (MI, MN, NY, VT & WA). There will be a lot of surprised voters when they find out they don't have the right ID.

The SAVE Act is well intentioned but needs some tweaks. In its current form, to vote requires a passport (which 1/2 of Americans don't have) --
or two forms of ID (e.g. a certified birth certificate & REAL-ID/driver's license).
This will disenfranchise 10's of millions of voters.

Yesterday, five-year-old Liam and his dad Adrian were released from Dilley detention center. I picked them up last night and escorted them back to Minnesota this morning.
