Paul, you don't need to teach Dred Scott as good law. You just have to teach Dred Scott & Plessy from a colorblind perspective. Some guy wanted to ride the train. Other people didn't want him there. Why? Who knows. But he sued & lost. Another guy wanted freedom, but SCOTUS said no, you can't sue.
