I love and wholeheartedly agree with this by my pal the comedian, actor, showman and Midsomer neighbour of Tim Henman, Charlie Baker. Get VAR in the bin.

Charlie Baker's anti-VAR monologue needs to be heard by every football fan 🙏

The media were not hounding Maresca or Pep or Iraola last season (or Frank, whose Brentford had the 4th highest injuries / game ratio at one point). And now that Frank's Spurs have a worse muscle injury problem than Ange's Spurs ever did last season, the media are...blaming Ange!

Preliminary results: Spurs as of this moment:

Have the most muscle injuries in the PL (raw number).

Have the highest % of total injuries that are muscle injuries.

Have the highest % of injuries per game.

Have the highest % of muscle injuries per game.

Ange's Spurs only ever had 1 of these!
Gonna have to do a whole article on Spurs injuries, after hearing someone say Spurs don't have muscle injuries this season. Excluding injuries to Maddison & Deki that Frank inherited, 5 of our 8 injuries are muscle injuries. That's a higher % of muscle injuries than we had at any point last season.

After 25 games last season we sat 12th on 30 points with a +12 GD, having conceded 37 goals and scored 49. This season, it's 14th (possibly 15th) on 29 points with a 0 GD, 35 goals conceded, 35 scored. In the 25th game last season we played Manchester United, winning 1-0 with this lineup:

I understand Forest fans not happy with the Ange appointment but they should remember that in his first season he changed spurs squad and style of play and took them from 8th to 5th. He then won the Europa League with an injury-ravaged squad & binned off the league when 11th-17th was inevitable.

Ange getting sacked is such a shame. Spurs will never know what he could have achieved and I don’t think a big club in the PL will hire Ange now so we won’t know what he is capable of in this league with a fit squad either. What a waste.

Ange to Levy: Daniel, I told you the medical department needed fixing, I told you we needed a stronger squad and I told you I always win something in my second season. If you sort the first two out I’ll sign a new improved contract. Enjoy your lunch.

Tottenham's Europa League victory over Manchester United was worth £100m according to some estimates, leaving United in some difficulty and transforming Spurs' near-term spending power.

Naturally, United are signing Cunha, Mbeumo and Gyokeres, while Spurs are slipping back into crisis.

👏 😀
Well played Spurs. Actually giving players staff coaches and agents 2 weeks holiday where they don't contact anyone whilst on annual leave is actually the work place environment we'd all want.

Holidays are for relaxing not being at work.

Principles above transfer windows

Ange needs a break

The reality we at Josimar face is stark. Should we fail to raise 50 000 euro by 1 July, the world’s only investigative media dedicated solely to football will cease to exist.

Since the 56/57 campaign, only 3 managers have presided over a worse league campaign than Ange Postecoglou: 2 of whom being Bill Nicholson and Keith Burkinshaw.

I hope Ange’s win can open doors for other managers based outside of Europe. If European clubs scoured the world for talented coaches the same way they do players then there would be a lot more in the top 5 leagues. But there is no pathway.
