And that's not to say that if a game does bad that someone screwed up, a lot of it really is down to luck and timing, but the point is that you typically wanna put your best effort forward, not someone else's without direct collaboration.

The end result of a game as a product is a reflection of the thought and effort put into it.

I dunno many devs who would chance tarnishing that.

Also, why pay for something that someone couldn't bother to make? It'd be like going to a restaurant and getting served a microwave TV Dinner.
