As it's currently used, the Fremont Bridge can in no way support Seattle's future population growth and increase of active transportation use. The current sidewalks should be pedestrian-only, and the current car lanes should be fully car-free bike lanes (with emergency vehicle access, of course).

Fremont Bridge is already absolutely central to Seattle's north-south connectivity by bike. Nearly every single trip into or around Seattle crosses it at least once, but it's on an essentially one-way-width two-way sidewalk path on each side with face-to-face conflict.

Nice route today along the waterfront, 34.5 miles total from West Seattle

Today I once again joined the weekly food rescue ride from Ballard and Fremont PCC stores, delivering the rescued food to the direct Food Not Bombs distribution in SODO for @cascade.org #PedalingReliefProject – we use volunteers, bikes, and trailers to save food and get it to those that need it!

Alright which one of you friends put this sticker out here on Delridge. NIMBYs Suck. Neighbors are welcome.

Today I delivered another 10 bags of groceries from White Center Food Bank to 5 families in White Center, Burien, and Seattle for @cascade.org #PedalingReliefProject – we use volunteers with bikes and trailers to deliver food to the homes of people with accessibility or mobility challenges

Customer parking is customer parking. Take the space unapologetically. 🚲

They definitely live here. Two examples from the last few months:

I don't know why, but I am enamored by this photo I took of the church in Stege, Denmark.

November 16, 2025 at 2:08 AM
Last night was @seattle.bikedis.co where we braved the cold and mostly-stopped rain to share the love, music, and lights with Seattle again, starting from Mt Baker Station this time. Join us next month on December 12 starting at Gasworks to see the Christmas Ships and more. 🚲❤️

Who needs lights where we're going?

Stopped by Dubsea Coffee afterwards for some sweets and a coffee. Love that place! Spent a while answering some lovely old ladies’ questions about my cargo bike.

Today I delivered another 12 bags of groceries from White Center Food Bank to 6 families in White Center and Seattle for @cascade.org #PedalingReliefProject – we use volunteers, bikes, and trailers to deliver food to people with accessibility or mobility challenges getting to the food bank.

I hate when I leave my bar mitts open to the rainy sky accidentally 😭

And a couple spots on the Duwamish Trail also needed some de-leafing. I forgot to take a before pic, so a during pic will have to suffice.

I also made it up the Delridge connector a bit, but it needs some serious work. Clean enough for now.
November 8, 2025 at 1:22 AM
Welp, the #Seattle storm this week re-leafed the Spokane Street bridge / Delridge Way SA / 22nd Ave SW connector bike paths, so I got out there again today and got it cleaned up again. Nice and fresh again, for now. ✨

Today I rode in heavy rain to deliver 20 bags of groceries from White Center Food Bank to 10 families in White Center, Burien, and Seattle for the @cascade.org #PedalingReliefProject – we use volunteers with bikes and trailers to deliver food to neighbors with mobility or accessibility challenges

I park my cargo bike in street parking spaces and parking lots all the time. No shame, no regret. Honestly just do it unapologetically.

Yep, can confirm.

Ugh the route summary is also wrong, it calculates the -7.9% from the incorrect -59 ft, the actual descent is -14.2% in this case.
November 5, 2025 at 9:12 PM
Honestly no earthly idea how Ride with GPS calculates elevation gain/loss. How you can go from 160 ft to 54 ft and only have an elevation change of -58 ft? The math isn't mathing and it's really messing with my ability to evaluate route flatness.
