I’m getting trained as a legal observer through Transgender Law Center and @rohnkat.bsky.social has offered the most inspiring welcome and call to action to get organized and work in community for justice. Thank you!

@thenation.com turned its website over to stories from #Gaza and dropped their paywall and this one really gutted me. Continuing to witness this genocide is so painful and so important. #NotInMyName #NeverAgainForAnyone
A home with no walls, tent-shelters drowning amidst rainfall, children born prematurely and malnourished. Life within Gaza’s “ceasefire” is not as we have been told. @Rashaaboujalal1 reveals the reality.

I might be a bureaucrat on the outside but I will always be a queer punk on the inside. DIY show culture and punk audiences are and should be part of the fabric of protest movements.
As the U.S. government wages war on immigrants, with Los Angeles bearing the brunt of ICE's violent tactics, this DIY Dead City show felt historic—echoing Rage Against the Machine's legendary protest set outside the 2000 DNC.

A federal judge is blocking the Trump administration from terminating Temporary Protected Status for Haitian immigrants living in the U.S., finding that statements made by White House officials demonstrate that racial bias played a part in decision-making.
Judge Halts Noem Move to End Protected Status for Haitian Immigrants, Citing Trump Admin’s Racial Bias
The “decision to terminate Haiti’s TPS designation was motivated, at least in part, by racial animus,” the judge ruled.

10 days post snowfall; my street is still not clear enough to park on and #Providence is just starting to enter the “daily melt becomes nightly black ice” phase. I miss nice daily walks around the neighborhood! #BestRunCity

I wrote about some of my observations on collective decision making and how we can practice things that make use better at being in community. There has been a lot of grieving over her the past few weeks, metabolizing slowly into this. jennsteinfeld.substack.com/p/the-archit...
The Architecture of Collective Problem Solving
Earlier this month I had the opportunity to travel to Chile, where I got to interview several people who had participated in their failed 2021 constitutional rewrite.

Since we are living in @digitalhellworld.bsky.social we can at least try to protect ourselves and each other. @eff.org has a great offering on Thursday. Know your rights so you know when you’re being infringed!
Join EFF's online town hall to discuss ways to stay safer and how the digital rights community can help address ICE and CBP's brutality against immigrants, observers, and those seeking to hold them accountable. Livestream on Thursday at 10 AM PT. eff.org/livestream-ice
EFF Town Hall: ICE, CBP, and Digital Rights
You see it. We see it. ICE and CBP are out of control. Many people are exercising their right to say it's unacceptable. But what are the limitations around recording immigration agents? Is it true

It is currently 8:36 AM in the UK. I am spending the day in a meeting and taking an 8 PM flight home. Somehow I land in Boston at 10:30 PM for a total of 48.5 hours wheels up to wheels down. For now in a Wildfang suit, thrifted French cuff shirt and cufflinks, found scarf, determination.

You probably don’t know that #Welding is my #QueerRoot. That scene in #Flashdance where Jennifer Beals takes off her helmet & shakes out all that hair was everything to this Pittsburgh kid. So I really enjoyed the #SFOAirport exhibit on #RosieTheRiveter. Joan of Arc pageant? Yes please!

I lost a dear friend in January, days before she died we had made a plan for ice cream today while I was in her area. In her honor I had a double scoop in a waffle cone in view of the Bay Bridge. I think she would approve. I love you and miss you Court.

It’s a great time to call your Senators and tell them you expect them to vote NO for cloture and NO on the continuing resolution, basically a short term budget bill that locks in some bad stuff.
There is absolutely no reason to vote for the current Continuing Resolution.

—It gives Elon Musk free rein to slash programs families depend on
—It tees up massive tax breaks for billionaires
—It even guts IRS funding for catching rich tax cheats

We can do better than that.
