@murray.senate.gov @cantwell.senate.gov just so you are aware, demoting Bovino is not enough. You need to vote to defund ICE. Anything less will not satisfy your voters

Abolish ICE is not enough.

Stern words for Greg Bovino or Kristi Noem is not enough.

We need prosecutions and trials.

Anything short of this position fails to address the gravity of this moment.

@murray.senate.gov @cantwell.senate.gov My family and I have voted for each of you in every election in which I have been eligible to vote. If you vote to fund ICE we will never vote for you again. If you cannot stand up for your voters, we will not stand up for you

Another excellent piece. Most of us are not familiar with the internal structure and politics of the military so this is immensely helpful. I’m just concerned that neither the house nor the senate will ask the right questions to cut through his training and get to the truth
This is the first time in modern U.S. history a SEAL Team Six commander may have to answer Congress about killing survivors. Here's what I think we'll see..when he almost certainly testifies in Washington, D.C.👇

The military has a duty to refuse unlawful orders, but Congress has a duty to remove from office a president and secretary who would issue such orders. There is something off about members of Congress talking about the former while refusing to say the latter, the part that's actually their job here.

The one thing you can't do is to give in to bullies. Once again, Dems have managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Anyone who's not prepared to fight for their constituents needs to step down and make way for someone who will
In response to this claim that the "strategy didn't work."

The people were on our side. We were building momentum to help save our democracy. We could have won - the premium increase notices were just starting.

And giving in now will embolden him. Things will likely get worse.

And then this shit just came out.

When you’re making over $700k a year, gaining $12k is nothing. It’s a nice vacation, redoing the garage, giving a niece/nephew a car.

When you’re making $23k a year, losing $1600 is “are we paying for food or for the house or for medical bills” territory.
Budzinski: Families making over $700,000 a year will see a boost of $12,000 almost entirely from tax cuts. Shockingly, households making $23,000 a year or less are set to lose about $1600 a year, mostly due to deep cuts to Medicaid and food assistance

Is this what they think is making America great again? Shameful!
People in wheelchairs are getting arrested right now in the Russell Senate Office Building in DC. They showed up to tell Congress not to cut their Medicaid, because they cant afford health care without it. If you look closely you can see the zip ties on their hands. #WeWontGetOverLosingMedicaid

That one person can drag us into a war without consulting or even notifying Congress, or our allies, or fully explaining to the American people why this is necessary, is absolutely bonkers.

Reminder that Congress has the power to stop all of this. Where the hell are they? Hello?

We’ve bombed Iran. And dismantled our joint terrorism task force. And sent a third of the FBI to help ICE. And gutted the National Security Council. And a drunk guy is in charge at the pentagon. And our intelligence allies probably won’t share intel with us. Because people couldn’t vote for a woman.

4. SUPREMACY OF THE MILITARY
Even when there are widespread domestic problems, the military is given a disproportionate amount of government funding, and the domestic agenda is neglected. Soldiers and military service are glamorized.

If you ever wonder what side of history you are on look at the content of your speech.

These are people who clearly have the bigger picture in mind. Or you can be like the hateful republicans who laugh and ridicule and makes disparaging jokes in moments like this.

Okay. Then stop sending EU arms to your friend Netanyahu who’s aggressively setting the whole region on fire with war crime after war crime. Show us your so-called “commitment”.
Just spoke with Prime Minister Netanyahu

We are following developments in the Middle East with deep concern.

I reiterated our commitment to peace, stability, and diplomatic efforts leading to de-escalation.
