@rbreich.bsky.social is saying much more than what is written here. What he didn't write is that our economic system is built according to rules set out by our government, i.e. our "market driven" economy and the "triumph of capitalism" are fictions perpetrated by those who hold power in the US.
Poverty is a policy choice. Concentrated wealth is a policy choice. Inequality is a policy choice. None of it is natural or inevitable. Remember: We have the power to build a system that serves the many, not the powerful few.

Finally managed to see a production of #TheInheritance at #RoundhouseTheater in Bethesda, MD, that wasn't cancelled because of the pandemic or never opened because theater managers feared tRump and his minions.
It's a beautiful, operatic piece that is as good as touted to be. See it!!!!
