This article about Platner was one I saw and at some point the version of leftism they trade in has ripped the mask off enough times that we need to stop taking them seriously as people.

Again, I'm old enough to very much remember how Romney was portrayed in 2012 and it was as an empty suit plutocrat. Santorum ran on a ton of culture war issues and got traction, but the legacy GOP was just able to win out with Romney. But combined with Sarah Palin you could see the turn coming.

His parents basically said the quiet part loud here with their decision not to come.

In no world is the late Henry Kissinger someone who should be listened to for technology policy or understanding what AI can and can't do. This article reads like someone pushing a book or an IPO, not a thoughtful analysis.

And then leads to inevitable posts like this one where they act like people earnestly pointing out how they were dickish is somehow "offending" people. Again, not every post on the internet is directed as you but when you inject yourself you can't assume you'll always get a standing O.

And shoelaces were sentient creatures that defied the laws of gravity, possibly because they were surrounded by enough neon gas-powered lights to cause a rip in the ozone.

The fact this farm's website has, at the top of the home page, with a disclaimer basically saying they're forced by law to not officially sell their milk to consumers as drinkable by humans gives away the ghost. It's just performative nonsense for gullible buyers.

Like, I get you have to use tools around you and while the reality of AI is less impressive than the marketing around it, it's really depressing that its misuses are so obvious they have to spell it all out.

This is Williams's entire journalistic output distilled down to two (succinct) sentences.

What's funny is the next paragraph absolutely explains why Trump is losing ground despite "winning" (that link to his other accomplishments is just a press release by the WH that is full of lies) because people realize his actual actions aren't, in fact, good things

I guess I'll need to check the old CNN archives to read about the fevered Facebook groups worrying about buying real estate a couple months ago.

It's this meme, but because Biden didn't invite Musk to what was effectively a two-day business conference. If you're that close to adopting fascism, it's not anyone else's fault but your own if you make the leap.

The fact he seemingly forgot the Internet and the personal computer were also created in the past century isn't a good sign of his comprehension skills given he's a (checks notes) historian of technology.

A big problem with the largely-unnamed "experts" quoted here is that they didn't attach their names so we can't mock them for being absolute idiots. On the other hand, the former Biden member who pointed out Trump doesn't care about any laws deserves a parade.

Tech bros continue to not beat the case that their aspirations and inspirations are just recreating tech they saw on TV and in movies growing up.

The entire article can be broken down to this one paragraph, in which people who claim to care about politics and are engaged have different perceptions of the same actions by Harris. It mostly comes across as voters who had some personal bias against Harris but won't admit it's that shallow.

And Daniel Hess just seems like a guy who wants to have kids and, per his MoreBirths Substack, cites Elon Musk as another "thinker" about birth rates and how it's definitely the greatest challenge to society. So yeah, totally normal and chill people.

This is a fantastic way for me to delete your morning email when you bothsides national security violations by comparing "her emails!" and Biden actively coming forward with incidental materials in his library to Trump taking boxes of things to his bathroom and WhiskeyLeaks.
