Yeah I was playing Mortal Kombat 2011 a while back and Sonya Blade was like "I'm a special forces agent sent to investigate this tournament" while wearing the outfit below in the story mode.
Either she *chose* to wear that or it's in-universe standard issue, neither are great!

This is just some good comics. Also I think this is the closest to "de-compressed" storytelling as I've seen in comics at this point in time. Two issues in and Ikaris doesn't even have a costume yet!
