Japan manager Hirokazu Ibata said last night that Daisuke Moriura, who gave up two homers, said the PitchCom was hard to hear, so the other pitchers turned it up. He said that was a focus for them ahead of the WBC, that and the pitch clock and rules that aren't in NPB.

They stopped letting media in the dugouts, but the Tokyo Dome ground rules used to be posted on the wall. Probably online somewhere too, to be honest.

The umps just got it wrong initially, it looked like, before the one from NPB stepped in.
