Instead of standing up for immigrants who were impacted by ICE this week, @repangiecraig.bsky.social is supporting performative resolutions meant to divide the Democratic Party event further.

We haven’t forgotten your vote to strip due process away from immigrants. It’s the America you asked for.

All Trump wants is to make us think some people don’t have the same humanity as others. The Frey campaign and All of MPLS spent millions of dollars spreading Islamophobia for the last year doing Trump’s dirty work for him and set this up perfectly. They should be ashamed but I’m sure they don’t care
I am a citizen and so are majority of Somalis in America. Good luck celebrating a policy change that really doesn’t have much impact on the Somalis you love to hate. We are here to stay 💁🏽‍♀️

Someone knocked over the fist on the north side of George Floyd Square. It seems like maybe a car ran into this?

B and I couldn’t move it alone and didn’t want to break it more. If you have a truck or a group of helpers, maybe you could help?

I’m sickened to hear the decision made by Donald Trump to terminate the Temporary Protected Status (TPS Program) for Somalis in Minnesota. This program protects so many of our immigrant neighbors in Minneapolis. 1/

Take a read at this post made by Mukhtar M. Ibrahim regarding the comments made by Chief O’Hara about the East African community. A real apology and accountability is required.

On this Trans Day of Remembrance 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍⚧️, we remember the lives of trans people who were taken by violence, hate, and discrimination.

There is an epidemic of violence against transgender women of color in the United States that must be addressed. 1/

It's another bad mark on our society that we're welcoming autonomous vehicles but fear building public bathrooms in our public spaces.

Last month when asked about a Waymo causing a fatal crash, their CEO replied, "we don't say 'whether,' we say 'when.'" This feels like it would have been useful to include in the article.

Our streets are already dangerous enough due to cars, we don't need a new threat. No thanks indeed.
No thanks. 👎
Waymo, the driverless ride-hailing company, is bringing its fleet of autonomous electric vehicles to Minneapolis.

Today’s federal enforcement action in St. Paul was disgusting. Abolish ICE.

It’s always important to question the validity of info you receive when you are told it’s not immigration enforcement/ICE. I’m thankful we had people on the ground updating us so we can let our loved ones know the truth. 1/

I’m so tired of this racist and xenophobic dog whistle. Never something that follows white candidates who move days before an election to a district. I Grew up here. I’ve organized here. I live here. And I’m not going anywhere. 10,000+ of my neighbors agreed they want me to rep them. Scoreboard.

Many things.
1. There have been simply too many accidents.
2. They are surveillance cars, Google shares their camera feeds with all agencies.
3. AI and the data centers these run on, are bad for the environment.
4. They put actual people out of work.

The city auditor raised concerns with MPD’s compliance with the city auditor’s office way before the election.

It is a complete malpractice to not name who is in charge of MPD. It’s depressing to see publications not hold Mayor Frey accountable.
The Minneapolis Police Department is ordering its officers to cooperate with the city auditor’s office amid a probe into how it handled two high-profile cases after a city official raised accusations of stonewalling.
Minneapolis auditor says lack of police cooperation in dual probes is creating costly delays
The police department’s second-in-command has issued a memo saying “Failure to comply shall result in discipline.”
