"I may be but small, but I shall die a colossus!"
I'm burnt out. And exhausted. And disheartened. It's been years of "your stuff is so good," but with nothing to show for it. All while people with less talent and fewer scruples are lauded. I know everyone is struggling, but fuck. I honestly don't know what the hell I'm supposed to do to this point.

I wish I could be as optimistic about my odds at anything as GameStop is about its clearance prices moving merch like this.

Oh, been there. I bought a cheap mechanical years ago and never looked back. Then I bought a Keychron earlier this year on kind of a whim and now I'm truly spoiled.

Still planning on playing either Persona 5 Royal or Xenoblade Chronicles after that, but not sure which! I might wait until January, though, so I can lock in and get some things I'm hella behind on back on track in December.

Just a goddamn banger year for RPGs. Going to go down as one of the best years for the genre of all time.

Beyond that, it's prep work, but also being flexible. Making sure I know the subject and the person, coming up with more questions than I need, but not being afraid to pivot if something more interesting comes up or a topic sinks.

This is probably the most obvious tip, but it's still the best guidance I ever got: if your question can be answered with just a yes or no, it needs to be reworked. You want to word things in a way that they have to elaborate.

I was at one point able to consistently beat Spider-Man's level after the prologue, but the X-Men's levels....christ. This game was programmed with hate in its heart.
