In my experience when a power supply fails it's completely dead and there's a "smell" involved. I would suspect memory or some other component. Might be worth reseating everything and try booting with a single memory stick at a time.

I run VS, Rider, Docker, and Azure Data Studio (all have native ARM versions) + music streaming and it's very snappy. No issues. Battery life is at least 2-3x what I got in previous Tigerlake laptop.
