Whether that’s a food pantry they support, school supplies provided, winter coats/hats/gloves and providing community to believers, comfort to shut ins, or emergency money provided to a member ?or non-member) who is in financial difficulty. All churches aren’t the same but most have good intentions.

Not all churches, of course, but the very average size church we attend in a small midwestern community. Also, most churches have an annual meeting every year where the members get to review the entire budget, line by line. Most churches serve a public good…

It’s couldn’t care less. You obviously could care a lot less. Either way, each of these women earned their money, they can do with as they please. I’m going to go out on a limb and say that each will pay more in federal taxes and give more to charity than you will in a 1000 lifetimes.

Unless a mega church they don’t make money—so you can tax them, it’ll be the same as taxing a family of four making 50k per year. Zero fed income tax. Btw if churches have payroll (pastor, office manager, etc) they do pay payroll tax.
