Very much enjoyed this episode of a podcast featuring Helen Zaltzman trying to sell some of the UK Xmas song canon to a USA-ian. (And vice versa, but mostly it’s introducing things like a socialist acapella band dressed as snowmen on #totp to a yank)

This is me dealing with my family not getting their shit together to watch the telly I want to watch fast enough
James Burke rewatch: Connections and The Day the Universe Changed. Both made quite an impression on me, especially the latter – the one series of which probably steered my choice of what to study at university. Something that didn't occur to me til years later

Maconie: my record of the year and they’re all great, but this one especially

*plays generic hookless guitar-led song that we’re assured wasn’t written 40 years ago and we’ve all forgotten about as a society*

I was quite proud of licensing an extract of Arcadia for use in an A-level physics textbook. It’s the only play I think I’ve seen more than once. Ok, and Aladdin at the Watford panto

Just playing MBV “To Here Knows When” in the main room quite loudly, as all other people here are off at the flicks, and the cat came up and gave me quite the meaningful stare

Radcliffe and Maconie on BBC 6 music is one of my favourite things

Having it interrupted by breathless news bulletin telling me ‘government has banned taxis for asylum seekers’ *really isn’t*

New lines like ‘Home Office spent £1k over weekend on taxis’ would struggle to make a local newspaper

What did I miss in Plur1bus with where that bag of powder that fell off the couch came from?

And it was more a powder than dog feed/kibble but we’re to assume they deliberately used it to get the wolves to desecrate the grave?!

Assuming this just means the 6th most recent pic on my phone it’s bound to be my cat looking damp, or derpy, or simply ridiculous/fluffy
You just died. The 6th picture in your phone gallery is what killed you
