Nevermind that apparently my new specialty is embarrassing myself *constantly*.
Now that Im 30 I am having to more actively adopt a "fuck 'em" policy when it comes to people judging me, but it makes my walls closed off... Which isn't exactly conducive to making new friends or talking to strangers.

My feelings are complicated b/c I agree the solution does boil down to "push through it", sometimes the advice feels... insensitive? But maybe that's me projecting my trauma from years of losing friends for being myself, or people hating me for being myself, or being bullied for being myself

In my experience that is definitely normal and I completely blame:
