We have a nest (which I got before google bought them) and it drives me insane. It’s always trying to see how uncomfortable it can make me before I adjust it.

Cheap furniture is a classic example of how being poor is expensive. You can buy cheap furniture. It'll look nice for a maybe a year, and it probably won't be comfortable for even that long. So then you're buying a new couch every couple of years or whatever.
