Got some great games in for May thanks to attending BGG Spring last week with my brother. Galactic Cruise and Deep Regrets were top favorites!

Pretty significant month of #boardgames as our group completed our Oathsworn campaign after a year and half. What an amazing journey! #bgstats

If you want to drive in our densest, most transit-rich environments and cause pollution, congestion, and safety hazards, that’s fine, but you’ll have to pay and if that upsets you well so it goes. Drivers have had it their way for a century at the literal expense of everyone.

Spent extra time at home this year diving into games, mostly solo. However, our group campaign with Oathsworn has been the standout! Nearing the end of the campaign, and it’s been nothing short of engaging and satisfying. #bgstats #boardgames

This weekend I lost my Chewie. Today would mark the 9th anniversary that we got him and his brother Han. Chewie was always by my side. The last couple of years he was very sick and I did everything I could to care for him. He is finally at peace. But I will dearly miss him. He was truly a good boy.

Same. Thanks to reading Bloom County comics as a teenager in the 80’s which regularly depicted him as vile.
Like in the 1980s.

And a good reminder it is
On a bike, you’re not hidden behind metal and glass, you’re a part of the world around you. This visibility fosters human connection, whether through a nod, a glance, or just being seen. It’s a reminder of shared spaces and shared humanity.

My #BGStats for November. The Gang and Flip 7 were standout party games for the holidays.

Kelp! Octopus vs. Shark! is an engaging asymmetrical two-player game. One player controls the shark, while the other controls the octopus. The shark’s goal is to capture the octopus, while the octopus must evade capture and survive. I adored this game and want to play it again.

I love this! I visited Paris in 2018 and I really want to go back and witness this transformation firsthand.
READ: “3,337 Parisians were equipped with GPS trackers to record their journeys…for journeys from the outskirts of Paris to the center, the number of cyclists now far exceeds the number of motorists, a huge change from just 5 years ago.”

Evidence of leadership.

Another favorite game from #bggcon was Explorers of Navoria. We played this 3 times and included the expansion for the last play. Nice medium light exploration, bag selection, and tableau builder with cute Root-style art as well. I hope to pick this one up soon!

I’m slowly recapping my time at #bggcon and starting with one of my favorite games of the con! Arcs is a fascinating game using trick taking as the action selection and scoring mechanism while at the same time building space ports and ships and blowing up your neighbors.

Hello Blue Sky! I live in Fort Worth and want to see a world where we prioritize people over cars. I ride my bike for transportation not exercise. I also really like to play board games. I have over 400 games at this point. If any of that interests you, let’s be friends!
