It’s really important that #Vancouver’s Downtown Business Association, who were originally against bike-lanes, are now among their most vigourous supporters, because of ACTUAL EVIDENCE that they’re better for downtown business than any street parking they replaced.

How can an @sfu.ca spokesperson claim Kulbir Kaila's death had "nothing to do with the working environment" when the coroner is still investigating? A death on a hot day in July, at a campus with inconsistent HVAC, no less? #contractingout = #passingthebuck = wrong: #contractworkerjustice already!
The Tyee spoke to seven of Kulbir Kaila’s co-workers, who all say they believe an excessive workload, strenuous working conditions and a lack of support for existing health conditions contributed to her death.
