Tarik Skubal finished 5th in AL MVP voting, including one 3rd-place vote. Riley Greene received a 9th- and 10th-place vote.

Tarik Skubal wasn't a unanimous AL Cy Young winner, but he got 26 of 30 first-place votes from members of the BBWAA. Garrett Crochet got the other 4.

Much like Scott Harris a few weeks ago, Tigers general manager Jeff Greenberg sidestepped questions about trading or extending Tarik Skubal when asked by reporters Wednesday at MLB's GM Meetings.

In other Tigers news, Kevin McGonigle went 4-for-5 with 2 home runs and 4 RBIs today in an Arizona Fall League slugfest, a 21-14 Scottsdale Scorpions loss to Mesa.

Max Anderson continues to tear up the Arizona Fall League. His 4th HR in 9 AFL games is a go-ahead oppo shot off a 97 mph fastball from Rangers No. 4 prospect Winston Santos. Still batting over .500.

To cap his day, Kevin McGonigle centered a 99 mph fastball and sent it 424 feet to CF for a go-ahead two-run HR in the 10th, his second HR in three days.

Had wondered if Tarik Skubal might flip a curveball or two against Jorge Polanco after his two homers in G2. Instead, Skubal cranks up the fastball and gets him to chase a changeup out of the zone to end first inning. Back-to-back strikeouts after Cal Raleigh single.
