For reference, with nearly 100% of the vote counted, Blanusa trails Karan by some 8,300 votes. The SDS is claiming in Doboj alone the SNSD tampered with c. 5,000 votes. No one expected this election to be still murkier - or closer! - than the Dodik-Trivic race of 2022 yet here we are.

Karan’s lead continues to slip, independent reports say that he is up by a mere 3,500, while regime media claim he is down to a 6,500 vote lead — w/ large chunk of the vote outstanding. A genuinely shocking development, esp given the low turnout (which should favor SNSD in theory).

A significant share of the vote remains outstanding but this is not a good night for Dodik’s SNSD, especially if Karan stays under 52% or slips even further. Similar results in 2026 mean SNSD is not in BiH state government. Dodik needed this to be a blowout, not an actual race.

Karan’s lead has shrunk significantly with cc 47% polls reporting, and he appears to be losing in Bijeljina. The margin is really what we are watching here. Because beating a weak SDS candidate by just 4-5% may mean significant losses for SNSD in the 2026 BiH parliamentary elxns.

The ruling secessionist SNSD has published the first unofficial results from the RS entity special election in Bosnia and Herzegovina to replace Milorad Dodik as entity president. SNSD candidate, Sinisa Karan, as was widely expected, appears to be leading.

According BiH's Elections Commission, the turnout as of 11:00 in the RS entity special election to replace ousted Bosnian Serb secessionist Dodik as president of the entity is just 9.76%. That's cc. 7-8% lower than it was in 2022. This thing may not break 50% turnout.

Separately, large lines of cars and busses are observed entering BiH along its eastern border from Serbia, with opposition leaders in Banja Luka explicitly claiming these are voters being bussed in by Dodik and Vucic to prop up the SNSD regime. www.klix.ba/vijesti/bih/...
