I just hope these protests are breaking through to the normies. Like, hey guys, this actually sucks, and it didn’t have to be this way!

Much of the commentary I have heard suggests that Congress is likely to reject a vast majority of the proposed cuts. But on the other hand, this particular Republican controlled Congress appears to be quite deferential to the president, more so than usual. It’s tough to predict where this all lands.

As an astrophysics undergrad, I am alarmed and distraught at the prospect of Goddard being forced to close. It feels like one potential future being ripped away from me. I *really* hope this outcome is averted in the appropriations process!
