My kid attends school in Connecticut. She says she sees ICE constantly. She also has to walk by protesters at Planned Parenthood. This is her 3rd year, she never saw ICE or protestors prior to this school year.

I feel like I’m at the bottom of the world’s longest staircase and there’s no handrail. I’ve been standing there looking up for awhile now, paralyzed because the climb will be long and difficult. I can continue to do nothing or I can take the first step.
