Traveler, reader, dog and human mom, political scientist (in no particular order). I work at a mind factory in Boulder, CO but my views are not theirs.

Democracy isn’t going to save itself, people.
I literally learned what drag is from Looney Toons!!

I would take the train. Almost the same amount of time after factoring in getting there early, security, etc. Less likely to have a major delay and fewer transitions.

I would love to accept! My honorarium min. is $8k. And is that 3 hrs. max firm? I’m thinking instead of slides I will have skywriting drones.

“Telling people to disobey illegal orders is treason” sure went to “there was no order, we have no idea why they did this” fast.

Yes, you are right. It is so hard to resist the theft of our language and the debasement of our minds. The dehumanization is all around us.

The first hit is murdering civilians. The second hit is murdering civilians who are on the ground and begging for their lives. The first is cold-hearted murder, the second depraved murder.

Yeah they want a “catholic” Christianity in the sense that it is a global theocracy, but what they want bears no resemblance to Catholicism or any widely-held Christian theological belief.

As long-time DUS who mediates grade complaints, this seems more like grad instructor who hasn’t learned to calibrate grades than religious discrimination. It is unfortunate the instructor’s dept was not able to mediate this. But, once a discrimination accusation is made, it is out of dept’s hands.

Yes, if you write something that addresses assignment and isn’t plagiarized or violating course AI policy, then gets at least 50%. Still an F, but not a zero. Otherwise students have no way to come back from a poor performance. Also, if you are inviting personal reflection, you are going to get it.

Long-term people take online classes at 4-yr rather than start at 2-year. Price-conscious students getting college credit in HS, some through CC but others through AP, IB, etc. So pipeline to CC just smaller percentage of students. More millennials have degree so smaller pool of non-trad.

Yeah, I’ve seen enough from what other people have written, I’m good.
