It’s the black dog syndrome… they are often overlooked. We adopted our Sally as a black, senior former breeder. The sweetest girl ever. Our foster fail….shes gone over 3 years and we still miss her every day….💙💙💙

They did the same when we lost our Cesar, and four years later, when we lost our Sally. We adopted Daisy, and we received a lovely portrait of our sweet baby because Chewy was recognizing “pets named after flower month” last April! They are an amazing company!!!

Today we remember all who fought and died to keep our nation safe and free. My Father in Law fought in WWII. He was a lovely man who never spoke about his service. Saying Thank you will never be enough.

And Sally our sweet old lady. We had her for 5 1/2 years and she was the best…she was a breeder dog for a dog fighting group. Multiple litters and her last when she was 9 yrs old. Vet said her uterus was shredded!

Our senior girl, Sally was the most beautiful soul. We felt the same way. She was 9 yrs old when she came into our lives as a foster. She was bred “nearly to death,” as the vet who spayed her told us, and we were foster fails and she loved us for 5 1/2 years. I miss her so much!

It’s our Daisy’s Gotcha Day, too! Three years ago today we took a sickly, frightened and very sweet girl home. She makes us laugh every day! I’m so glad she’s in our lives…Congratulations Lucy!!!!
