There must be a rationale for it, but at the moment I can’t see what it is

I’d say the spirit of these increases stinks, with some chosen still able to access a £1.50 bulk ordering system. Also 4 of 6 I ordered returned instantly as they were automated. There should’ve been a tiered structure reflective of costs & not individual researchers subsidising big organisations.

Totally agree. I’m struggling to see what improvement they thought it was. I’ve spent a frustrating hour searching newspapers - a series of searches I could’ve done in half the time on Friday.

Thanks. It only goes to reinforce what an unfair pricing system this is.

A while ago they sent me the wrong soldier’s will, despite having correctly placed the order. Took above a year for them to admit their fault & send the correct one. Trying to get any response was a nightmare. So yes, I guess that’s going to be an issue. I’m now waiting for several for clients.

I’ve ordered 6 family ones today, not military. But 4 came back instantly, automated having already been digitised, so akin to #WW1 soldiers. It begs the question as to why there isn’t there a graded cost akin to GRO Digital Images or PDFs #Probate #FamilyHistory
