AI generating a photo realistic image
vs
AI generating a line drawing of the same thing

You think everything with an em-dash is the result of AI? Who do you think trained it to write that way?

My current experiment: converting the colourful weirdly-default
AI styling into something closer to my vision.
First: design a prototype with the correct styling in Lovable
Next: Publish those pages
Then: Tell AgentOS to use the Chrome MCP to access the prototype and extract the styling

Rum choices for Christmas cake. The one on the right is more expensive and supposed to be better but the Mantuano is fruitier—it’s basically Christmas cake in a bottle

Look at what I've accomplished already:
github.com/ideasasylum/...
It's basically feature complete and functional though I've not guided it on the UI styling yet so it has that weird default AI look. Might get it done tomorrow if it's raining

This year I did 3.5km, 3.9km, 3.9km (the Gaelforce Trilogy) and 5km races which at the time I entered felt like a real stretch but as the year went on felt well within my comfort zone.
Next year I'm contemplating 12km, 3.9km, 8km (the trilogy again), and 5km. Do I really want to do this? 😰

We saw The Rock Orchestra at the weekend: a fun reimagining of rock/metal hits played with instruments not usually associated with such music

One counter-example, maybe, to the idea you first win a market before expanding is Zoom. Like, they are hands-down winner of the video call market but despite, not because of, their product design skills.
So when you see this expansion, you just think "eeewwwww, god no"

Woke up at 5am in a sweat 😰 about doing this roof repair job because I hate heights. I survived!
Got the main crack filled so it should stop leaking. Just got to go back again tomorrow to fix the minor ones

Completed the Gaelforce Trilogy of swims today with a brutal 3.9km (actually 4.5km) swim in 25kph winds. Finished in 1h29m.
Definitely a lesson that in open water distance != difficulty and the weather, tides, and temperature can radically alter the outcome. Hardest swim I’ve done
