Very good to have better access technology on buses. Don't really feel like I want to comment on any individual's reason to use a car if they feel they need it for access reasons (but the congestion charge does not stop you doing that, e.g. blue badges already exempt)

Pure politicking I think, they are worried they will lose / fail to regain seats that were targeted by IOA, so it's car culture wars all the way for at least another 6 months. They will take credit for any bus improvements even though they effectively campaigned against because they know they can

You don't get a lot of Tories doing "class war" rhetoric, at least, not like that ...

If absolutely necessary to accomodation the existing line ok but I really hope we don't end up with curving platform because some architect thought it looked nice. Given how much investment is going into it as a brand new station let's have the most accessible design possible.

CBL is rather like Musk's autonomous cars, in that its been happening "next year" since about 2018*. That said this announcement does actually involve non-joke amounts of money so perhaps its a bit more realistic

Yeah I agree that's how it is on the map I'm saying the physical layout in the real world doesn't correspond - the environment has been made to look like a space for cars (much more so than the Prince of Wales example where clearly people are just pavement parking and don't care)

Isn't Holyrood PR - so no need for stand down agreements? What would be the goal of the negotiations had it passed?

Has channel 4 news investigated how many NHS staff have to pay extra for their bus tickets to work since the government raised the price cap?

I mean, except for the bits that are very obviously pavement... (Generally indicated by where they've chosen to put the street signs)
