I feel like it’s something about the chain of custody, which model, and how the model was prompted. You lose these metadata when someone ships you their slop. Better to be an active participant in the slop generation process.

We already got rid of jaywalking in California, and this was while autonomous vehicles were emerging. The evidence does not support this concern.

Yes agreed that is the major political problem. Still, as someone who lives in a city and doesn’t own a car, they also make city life better.

I think that is a good statement of the negative case. I think the positive possibility is that by decoupling “car use” from personal car ownership, you might increase openness to mass transit. (Empiric question, not saying I know the answer.)
