Freke is the worst keeper in the league at shot stopping and it’s not close. His distribution is one of the best in the league but the ball playing of the Roars back 4 makes that strength redundant.

L. Herrington getting a start is great news for Brisbane. One of several talented youngsters in the squad the roar should be looking to focus development on this year to aim to have a young winning core by 2026-27. MacNicol and Brazete are bench options who fall in this category also

Segecic is a gun. Would love to see him as a half space attacker in the national team set up. Perfect profile, potential and makes up for his lack of experience with extreme composure, sound decision making and high adaptability

With the Socceroos struggling for half space attacking players outside of Hrustic and McGree, Milanovic and Segecic are two young options that need to be considered. Both of which are showing tonight they have the ability to step up on big occasions.

Good to see Klein get more minutes. For me should be starting over Caletti. Excited to see what Brazete has to offer at senior level also, a good chance to audition for Hallorans starting spot

Frekes poor positioning and technique are being exposed more this year without Aldred papering over the cracks. Choosing Freke over Holmes, Duke not being in the squad, and not promoting Blackledge over Freke when they had the chance represent three major blunders in as many years
