The government won’t do shit unfortunately
X is in clear + systemic breach of its legal duties in the UK to remove unlawful content from its platform.

Proof: when X users abuse + harass others with the racial slur "paki", X reporting system defends the racist abuse in more than 90% of cases reported.

A new thread documenting this.

Really interesting listening to @jamesbloodworth.bsky.social talk about his book. Unexpectedly generated thoughts linking to the monograph on time/temporality and welfare (off to the publisher's soon) and a paper I've been working on regarding social security. Need to find time for further thinking

84% of British boys aged 13 to 15 in 2023 had heard of Andrew Tate and nearly a quarter of these 84% had a positive view of him.

What's going on? Should we be worried? What do we do about it?

@jamesbloodworth.bsky.social joins us TOMORROW to explain all.

What is the manosphere? What is going on with men and teenage boys? What does and should it mean for politics?

@jamesbloodworth.bsky.social joins us next Tuesday to discuss his excellent, new book and these questions.

The HPV vaccine has been a public health triumph. Very depressing to see this potentially unravel while we're on the verge of essentially eradicating cervical cancer.

As the article says, the problem is as much about the service as it is about parental attitudes.

Why would anyone hang out with this person
This is beyond grotesque. Another young journalism who treats the lives of minorities as a game. I know plenty of people who still hang out with this guy – I can't respect that as a decision when he's publicly gloating about further stigmatising disabled people.
