Since there are two layers when it comes to abilities (the starsprites AND their colour-specific powers), I've been thinking a lot about the best ways to switch between them without disrupting gameplay. 🤔

Kinoko has an ability bar now! This lets the player switch between all the abilities of their selected starsprite, with each starsprite type/colour offering a different set.

Working starsprite commands have finally been added to our game! This is so incredibly central to the game, impacting everything from combat, upgrades and puzzles to checkpoints and fast travel and ofc story...

I haven't posted much since our first demo, but things are about to get very exciting. 👀

That's on the heavier side of the healthy range so still don't like what I'm forced to look at in the mirror every day, but if I can get this down to about 21 again I'll be happy.

Six weeks ago I stepped on the scales to learn that I was overweight for the first time in my life, which obviously I put down to the loss of my brother and the things I was doing to cope, but as of today I'm 18 pounds lighter and feeling good! 🌞

Made good progress last night adding player objectives to our game which can be dynamically added and tracked. We can also lock progression behind their completion states, so the player must do X before they can do Y for example.

Now thinking about how we display them...
