One of the more underrated actors in it is mainstay Beverly D'Angelo who I dont think receives enough credit for her steady brilliance across from a buffoon. ..her eyes...uuughhh 🤌🏿

Christmas Vacation is a classic for alot of reasons, but watching it again two things I think make it per capita one of the funniest movies of all time are what I might label "follow through " and that its superbly acted...The biggest example of the former being the "Tree"..

Lauren Bacall almost stole this movie right out from under its stars which is saying alot because the stars were STARRING. Rarely would associate "lived in" with Bacall but its as that as I've ever seen her while still maintaining every bit of that magic that made her so fascinating on screen...
