Ugh, Tom Lehrer was HUGE to me. He taught me everything about comedy, math, sex, war, cynicism. He’s how I learned about Catholicism! “Ave Maria gee it’s good to see ya/Getting ecstatic and/sort of dramatic and/doing the Vatican Rag!”

Watched HUD with my small class seminar today - focused our discussion around James Wong Howe's work in it and of what happens when a murderer's row of sluggers collaborates to tell a simple story. I wept during it at several moments. One of the finest westerns of all time.
