I feel you. I’m not one to find comfort in optimism by default—when so often it’s obviously [to me] conceived of emotional need & animated by magical thinking

There’s much I don’t agree with Chris Hedges on—but for the last decade I haven’t been able to stop thinking about the truth of these words:

🎯 Trump openly latched onto the idea…hedged as “a joke” —just as every unconstitutional idea and disgusting statement Trump & MAGA have floated. It has always been “just a joke”…until they make “the joke” enough times to normalize broaching it —“humorously”…Then they follow through on it—*seriously*

I voted against all of this darkest and most terrible timeline…and I’ll keep donating and protesting and volunteering until I can vote against it again. In the meantime, never ever quitting.
Russia’s socioeconomics are in stage 4 cancer mode. Dunno which day it’ll die, but it’s undeniably terminal.
