This doesn’t make it any better, but: “Misha” is predominantly a male name in Ukrainian and Russian—the diminutive of the male name "Mikhail" (Michael)…kinda like “Mike” or “Mikey” is in English.

It would be like driving legally down the highway and—unbeknownst to you—having your driver license revoked…by the very same cop who is tailing you…and who then pulls you over, beats, and arrests you for attempting to evade arrest—by virtue of your driving down the highway without a valid license.

Many DID come here legally—as asylees—or given temporary protected/visitor/waiver status to be here…then abruptly—without cause or prior notice—had that legal status revoked by this administration…which then used the inexplicable revocation as justification for detaining & denying them due process.
