I’ve been in many libraries that pleased the senses but the feeling of history, of people traveling from India, Asia, Africa & of course Europe to study here in the 15C was mindblowing! At the time, Coimbra was only a small town - even now only 150K population.

Wow. Vancouver also has a lovely Japanese Garden, the Nitobe Memorial Garden. A must visit if you’re ever in Vancouver.
