A US senate subcommittee was told this unpublished vaccine study was 'the most important ever.' Henry Ford Health now confirms why it was never published: it failed scientific standards.

Here's what's actually wrong with the study:

Important finding from our systematic review:

For adults 65+, choosing the right flu vaccine makes a huge difference. A Danish study from the 2024/25 season found a 17 percentage point gap between high-dose and standard flu vaccines in preventing hospitalization.

Experts told me that it’s now the perfect time to get a flu shot. All vaccines take 2 weeks to take full effect (that’s how long it takes your body to make antibodies). Be protected before you get on the plane to travel for Thanksgiving.

Trump’s proposing removal of aluminum salts from vaccines. Half of childhood vaccines rely on them (hep A/B, DTaP, Hib, HPV, meningo/pneumococcal). That change would take years, cost billions, and expose millions to preventable diseases despite zero evidence of harm.

OOOPS! UPDATE: Two HHS officials tell me that disease detectives, measles response officers, global health officials and the MMWR staff were laid off by mistake and will be reinstated. But Washington office is still RIFed
BREAKING: Friday night massacre underway at CDC. Doznes of "disease detectives," high-level scientists, entire Washington staff and editors of the MMWR (Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report) have all been RIFed and received the following notice:

The editors of the CDC’s Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report (MMWR) were apparently fired today.

The precursor to MMWR began in 1878 to address emerging public health threats rapidly.

We are not “great” without it. We are vulnerable to threats from sporadic foodborne illness to bioterrorism.

The US needs to build an independent alternative to HHS, CDC, etc. We’ve been hijacked by an authoritarian with an ideological agenda, and no amount of evidence will convince him he’s dead wrong. There are brilliant scientists and doctors in this country and this is an all hands on deck crisis.
