Kinda sad honestly. You’d think someone like him would get top billing for making what is essentially the Steamboat Willie of the video game industry.
Contrary to what the monumental success of the original Pac-Man may suggest, creator Toru Iwatani was not given any kind of special benefits or rewards when the game took off.

Nintendo has confirmed via its support page that it will be placing image restrictions on Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream when it launches on 16th April. This presumably means that the screenshot button could be disabled in the game or during certain situations. Nintendo says that they have implemented this policy for the game in an effort to retain its "ongoing philosophy of creating experiences that bring smiles to everyone who plays."

The company which was founded by Keiji Inafune and titled Comcept has now officially closed for business. The company was officially dissolved by a shareholders’ resolution on 13th January. Keiji Inafune's Comcept previously collaborated with Level-5 to establish Level-5 Comcept, but that was shut down when Keiji Inafune left the company in 2024.
