Holy, that's an awesome choice for first cross stitch! I strongly recommend a Q-Snap frame or similar - I find them so much better (easier and faster to work with, less pain on my joints) than embroidering "in hand" but your mileage may vary. I'm so excited to see it finished!

Yeah that was the absolute minimum I could even conceptualise, rating below minimum wage. If selling to a stranger I'd probably charge very similarly

Yeah, the struggle. I got asked to do a large commission and I have no *idea* how to even bill that or value my time, but had to hit a friend with "that's probably gonna take months and be like £200."

For what it's worth those needle threaders especially the cheap metal ones are functionally consumables for me. I get like 4-5 uses out of those before the wire comes out of the handle
