I hope the person who did the risk calculations to come up with this vaccine decision can sleep at night. The accounting thing is another irritation - departmental budgets are the root of much ill in H&SC, and that should not be the case.

I am very angry about the Covid vaccine programme and the inevitable impact on people like Sarah. I hope she is much better very soon and has good care in the meantime.

Yes! He’s out with OH having a fine old time. Just spoke to son again and he was able to discuss the cricket so that’s something 😆

Absolutely. I think my sensible head would have been more worried if they hadn’t. I’ve just spoken to him and he sounds ok (in as much as you can tell these things over the phone). And they’ve glued the wound, so that’s progress.

Thank you! It sounds a bit ‘Joe Marler’ - he was dealing with an industrial recycling bin at the time and the lid fell 🤷♀️ He’s been triaged and cleaned up and just waiting for the doc. This son has always been accident prone so I’ve been down this parental path many times… 😬

My other beef is that if you agree to mailing lists these days you seem to end up with daily emails about nothing in particular. At least I’m more in control of that.

Good morning! The plant delivery I was going to chase yesterday miraculously produced tracking emails without me needing to do anything, so I’m waiting in for that today. I will bake and maybe sew while I wait but, first, more coffee required.

I just realised that as I typed that my brain was recalling the lingering smell of my grandfathers pipe, which I used to love.

Well-controlled asthma can climb hills but may also react to smoke. Some people just really don’t want to breathe it in anyway. I defend anyone’s right to smoke but not near me, thanks.
