Yes, animals learn to trust individual humans. In Portugal a couple of years back I made friends with a beautiful Iberian magpie, after 5 days or so, he would join me each morning on my balcony for breakfast. Which I happily supplied. Wonderful little bird, a real character.

I really miss my 'freedom'. Me and my little red Peugeot 2008 (Fifi 😜) were inseparable, we went all over Europe together. I miss her so much. But she was getting 'old' in car years. I'll never forget her, though. A treasure. She really liked Portugal.

BTW, I love making models too. Large scale (1:25) vintage trams. My 'pride and joy' is 'Buenos Aires', took seven months to build. Fully 'driveable', LED lighting, the lot.

A couple of years back, I stopped my care about 10km short of the border as I headed west towards Portugal through the wilds of Extremadura. Pure serenity. I sat there for an hour. No other cars came by. It was so beautiful.
